Neath Game Cancelled
The British & Irish Cup game between Neath and Bedford Blues, due to take place on Sunday 19 December at the Gnoll has been postponed due to heavy snow.

Endeavours will be made to rearrange the game as soon as possible.

Manor House Wildlife Park
Steve says it’s brass monkeys out there! Everything is frozen up, so they are closed this weekend – stay home, wrap up well and keep warm. Tehy’ll re-open for Christmas week, 27th – 31st December! (2011 season tickets are valid from 27th December 2010)

Brangwyn Hall weekend concerts cancelled
Three concerts planned for the Brangwyn Hall this weekend have been cancelled.

The performance of Messiah at the Brangwyn Hall planned for tomorrow evening (Saturday) has been postponed until January 14.

Tonight’s (Friday’s) Dunvant Male Voice Choir performance at the venue has also been cancelled as well as a Salvation Army concert that had been scheduled for Sunday.

Customers who can’t make the rearranged Messiah date can get a full refund at their point of purchase.

London Welsh v Swansea – venue moved to Esher RFC
Please note London Welsh’s British & Irish Cup fixture with Swansea on Saturday has been moved to Esher RFC after Old Deer Park was deemed unplayable due to a heavy frost.

Kick off is still 1pm.

Nadolig Bryn Terfel concert
The recording of festive concert Nadolig Bryn Terfel on Saturday 18 December at Venue Cymru, Llandudno, has been cancelled due to the heavy snowfall and bad weather forecast over the next few days.

S4C apologises for the disappointment and would like to thank everyone involved in organising the event.

S4C and Boomerang hope to record another version of the concert with Bryn at an alternative location to be broadcast on Christmas Eve.

Pontypridd v Birmingham & Solihull – game off
The British & Irish Cup tie between Pontypridd and Birmingham & Solihull, scheduled for Saturday 18thDecember, has been postponed.
Heavy snowfall during Friday morning, with forecasts of worsening conditions to come, have made plans to stage the game at Sardis Road or any other potential venue, impossible.

Pontypridd will liaise with Birmingham & Solihull RFC and the British & Irish Cup tournament committee to arrange another date for this game.

Cyw Christmas Shows cancelled
Sioe Nadolig Cyw at Theatr Elwy, St Asaph on Saturday and Galeri, Caernarfon on Sunday have been cancelled due to the snow.

S4C apologises for the disappointment and are hoping to rearrange next week if it is possible to do so.

As a result of the decision, Cyw’s television provision will be extended over the weekend with extra programming between 11:00 and 12:00 on Saturday and 09:00 and 10:00 on Sunday morning.

A special live broadcast of Stwnsh Sadwrn at the Waterfront Wonderland in Swansea has also been cancelled because of the winter weather. Stwnsh Sadwrn will instead be broadcast from the studio with Ant, Al and Lois.

Llanelli match postponed

“With further snow and ice forecast, the health and safety issues in and around the Stadium was paramount. Therefore, the B & I Cup match between Llanelli RFC and Nottingham RFC has been postponed and we will inform everyone via this website once a new date has been re-scheduled.”

Cor Meibion Llanelli Christmas Concert (due to be held tomorrow night at Theatr Elli) has been cancelled because of the weather.

Operaxposed at The Lyric Theatre

Due to adverse weather conditions The Operaxposed performance scheduled for Saturday 18th December 7.30pm has been postponed to a date yet to be confirmed. Tickets can be exchanged or refunded at the Box Office on 0845 2263510.

All University of Glamoragn campuses are now closed for the weekend
Due to the continued snowfall. the campuses will remain closed throughout the weekend.

Staff, students and visitors are advised to check all University websites, Inform, www.glam.ac.uk, Glamlife and Facebook from 7.20 on Monday morning to check the opening status of the campuses for next week.

Aberystwyth University – Adverse Weather Conditions
Due to the weather academic and administrative buildings at Aberystwyth University, the University Sports Centre and the Aberystwyth Arts Centre will be closed today, Friday 17 December.

Pontypridd game falls victim to the weather
Birmingham & Solihull Rugby Club’s B&I Cup fixture on Saturday 18th December away at Pontypridd has been postponed due to heavy snow in South Wales.

The club will inform supporters of the date for the re-arranged fixture as soon as it has been determined.

The postponement means the Bees next competitive match will be the home fixture at Damson Park at 3pm on Boxing Day against Rotherham Titans. The Championship fixture will give fans from both sides a chance to “clear the Christmas cobwebs away” and enjoy some festive hospitality.
