Cannons stolen from Great Orme

An appeal for witnesses and information is being made after two cannons were stolen from a car park on the Great Orme, Llandudno.

Sometime between 1pm on the 5th and 6pm on 6th February, two black ornamental cannons were stolen from the car park of the Rest and Be Thankful Café.

The cast iron cannons, which were 3ft long and 2 and a half feet high were quite distinctive as they had Spanish writing along the barrel.

Both were bolted to a concrete plinth; however the offenders cut the bolts to remove the cannons.

Anyone who may have witnessed suspicious behaviour or anybody who may have information is asked to contact PC 2644 Emily Burgess at Llandudno Police Station on 101, or 0845 607 1001 (Welsh line), 0845 607 1002 (English line) or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
