Waste Collections
Due to the severe weather conditions it is unlikely that any waste collections will be carried out this morning.
The following wards will be affected:
- Creigiau
- St Fagans
- Fairwater
- Llandaff
- Riverside
- Cathays
- Adamsdown
Other operations such as commercial collections, bulky waste collections and white goods collections are also likely to be affected.
All other outstanding domestic collections will also be affected.
All Household Waste and Recycling Centres are closed
All gritting operations are running normally and we are replenishing the gritting bins on the streets. If you’re gritting bin needs replenishing then please contact C2C 029 2087 2087
Leisure Facilities
The following centres are closed:
- Pentwyn Leisure Centre
- Splott Swimming pool (Electrical problems – will hopefully open at 12.00)
- Plasnewydd Community Hall

The Mobile Library and Housebound Services will not be operating today.
Housing
The Kitchen and Bathroom contractors working in Council properties are only providing a skeleton service. They are leaving things in a safe and, where possible, a useable condition until the weather breaks. Most contractors will be finishing at lunchtime today (6th Jan). We have also cancelled our Kitchen & Bathroom surveys scheduled for today.
