Cardiff fire treated as deliberate: Appeal

South Wales Police is appealing for information following a deliberate fire at a property in Llanedeyrn, Cardiff.

The incident in Coed y Gores was reported at approximately 9.50pm on Sunday, April 10.

Nearby homes were evacuated while the fire service attended to the blaze.

Detective Sergeant Maria Mullane, from Llanishen CID, said: “The house is completely burnt out and the fire has spread to neighbouring properties causing considerable damage.

“It is fortunate that the house where the fire was started is unoccupied so luckily no-one was injured but the consequences could have been fatal.”
