Police in Carmarthenshire have released the Public Enquiry Office opening times for their three main stations over the Christmas and New Year Holidays.
“We’ve analysed how many people were using the stations during the Christmas period and none of the stations had many callers on the Bank Holidays last year,” said Lynwen Thomas, customer services manager for Carmarthenshire. “Those people that did call, reported matters that could have been dealt with by telephoning 101 so it is impossible to justify remaining open in order to service so few non critical calls.”
Dyfed Powys Police can still be contacted as normal by telephoning 101 for non-emergency calls and on 999 for emergencies. We will still be able to respond to all calls for service on any of the days over the period.
