Cash machine raid arrests

North Wales Police have confirmed that one man was arrested in the early hours of yesterday morning in the Abergele area following the theft of an ATM cash machine at Ysbyty Glan Clwyd, Bodelwyddan at 3am on December 15.

He remains in custody at St Asaph. A vehicle was also recovered from the Abergele area at this time.

A further two men were arrested today following early morning raids at undisclosed addresses and will also be interviewed at St Asaph.

Police are appealing for help in tracing a dark coloured Volvo 50 estate car which is believed to have been involved in the offence and was used to transport the stolen ATM.

D I Iestyn Davies said ; “We are following a number of leads including the examination of CCTV footage and we would appeal to anyone who might have seen the Volvo car in the North Wales area yesterday morning to contact North Wales Police on 101 if in Wales, or 08456071001 (Welsh line) 08456071002 (English line).
