British naturalist and action adventurer Steve Backshall and children’s TV favourite Naomi Wilkinson are back this September for the brand new series of Live ‘n’ Deadly – one of the phenomenally successful Deadly branded programmes made for CBBC.
The new series (13 x 60 minute programmes – 10 live shows and 3 special episodes), sees Steve and Naomi head off in their Live ‘n’ Deadly trucks to a different UK location each week, as the live and unpredictable Saturday morning show proves you don’t have to travel around the world to enjoy amazing adventures and animal encounters.
Crammed full of challenges, dares, animals and adventure, the show takes viewers on an interactive journey, proving TV doesn’t have to be passive and encouraging them to try new experiences for themselves.
Viewers can get involved by visiting the website during the show and throughout the week, including specially created interactive content and the ever-popular Deadly Dash game. There’s also the brand new Deadly Dash 2, Deadly Scramble and one of CBBC’s most ambitious games ever – Deadly Planet – where viewers can track and film Deadly animals from around the world, then spot secret codes on TV, online and in the real world to unlock bonus levels and power-ups in the game.
The fun doesn’t stop when the programme finishes either, as every Sunday the team heads to a different UK venue for a Deadly Day Out, giving viewers the chance to get up close and personal with British wildlife, try a new adventure, and meet Steve, Naomi and a curious collection of Deadly animals.
Developed by BBC Learning, the Deadly Days Out bring the Deadly experience direct to viewers at locations right across the UK. The events are completely free to attend, but visitors must have a ticket to gain access.
The team will be at Park Margam Country, Port Talbot on 2 October 2011
Ticket application closing date: 25th September 2011
