Dyfed-Powys Police is reminding people to act appropriately when they enjoy the festive season in Brecon and Newtown.
The extensive CCTV monitoring facility in both locations, which is fully-funded by the Community Safety Partnership, will help ensure that members of the community, who commit crime, will be identified and arrested.
With the Christmas party season upon us, the town centre will be getting busier and Police are urging revellers to be aware of the consequences if they take part in any anti-social behaviour.
Chief Inspector Chris Curtis said: “This state-of-the-art system will enable us to view people’s behaviour and therefore, place the necessary resources where they are required.
‘In addition to acting as a deterrent, this facility highlights our investment in innovative technology and commitment to ensuring the safety of members of the Powys community.”
Dyfed Powys Police wishes everyone a safe and enjoyable time over the Christmas period – and would like to remind people that if they see any trouble to alert the police immediately.
