Celebrating 12 years of helping the most excluded people in Wales

Safer Wales an independent charity, will be celebrating 12 years of achievement at the Pier Head Building, Cardiff Bay on 24th November 2010.

Safer Wales has created a number of projects, some a first for Wales.  Safer Wales work with victims of sexual exploitation, domestic abuse and sexual violence (both female and male), hate crime, burglary, young people and working with women offenders and those at risk of offending.

“Today this event enables us to celebrate our achievements for 2009/10 which include 9,980 direct beneficiaries and nearly 23,000 other contacts with some of the most excluded people in our society.  Our staff and volunteers are changing people lives on a daily basis, and this event is a chance to celebrate the last 12 years and move us forward into the next 12 years” Barbara Natasegara, CEO Safer Wales said:

“The event will be attended by people who have benefitted from Safer Wales services, volunteers, trustees, and other organistaions.”

The keynote address will be delivered by Carl Sargeant AM, Minister for Social Justice.
