Cob and the mystery of the orb at Loggerheads Country Park

Cob and the Mystery of the Orb is a promenade piece of theatre for families. The audience joins Cob on her journey through Loggerheads Country Park, meeting animals and birds and making magical discoveries.

Local Actors Claire Barron and Josephine Wynne-Eyton have formed The Shed Theatre Company to bring small independent theatre to the area.

Their debut performance is a site-responsive piece inspired by the nature and industrial history of Loggerheads Country Park.

Come along and join The Shed Theatr Company at Loggerheads Country Park on July 22, August 12 or August 25. The events are listed as bright, witty and whimsical and start at 2pm and finish at 4pm. Please book by ringing 01352 810586.

Claire and Josephine are excited to have been given this opportunity by Denbighshire Countryside Service and are extremely delighted to be working with local actor, Lowri Williams, who will be taking on the role of Cob.

Loggerheads Manager, Vanessa Warrington, said: “We really wanted the Park to come alive with characters and surprises this summer. I’m very excited that Jo and Claire have written this story especially for the Park. We also have actor and story teller Andy Harrop-Smith as an 18th century lead miner on the 10 and 24 August – and these events are free for families.

“We would also like people make use of our free shuttle bus between Loggerheads and Moel Famau car parks to avoid people parking dangerously on the A494.”

There are many fun family events across Denbighshire, Flintshire and the Clwydian Range, many of which are free, visit www.clwydianrangeaonb.org.uk for details.
