Coedcae Lane Streetcare Depot

Residents who used to drop off bags of recyclable waste and garden refuse at the Coedcae Lane Street Care depot are being reminded the venue is now closed.

Instead, they are being urged to leave their clear plastic bags of recyclable waste (with green waste in a separate clear bag to other matter) on the kerbside with their non-recyclable waste on their set collection days.

Rhondda Cynon Taf Council will then collect the recyclable and non-recyclable goods every week as part of its extensive service.

Nigel Wheeler, Director of Street Care, explained: “The depot at Coedcae Lane traditionally became a place where people would leave their clear bags of recyclable matter and also garden waste.

“The centre closes from April 1, so this facility will not be available. However, our weekly kerbside collection service makes it easy for residents to manage their household waste.

“All recyclable matter can be placed in the clear bags and left out for collection at the same time as black refuse bags. We will collect it all on the same day.”
