Colwyn Bay disturbance

Police are investigating a disturbance involving a number of people in the Hillside and Park Road areas of Colwyn Bay at 10pm on Sunday 10th April.

Police officers were at the scene within minutes and three local men were arrested.

As a result of the incident a man is currently in a stable condition in hospital where he is being treated for lacerations to his hands.

Chief Inspector Iestyn Davies said: “The circumstances relating to this incident have not been fully ascertained. Our investigation will be thorough and robust. Early arrests have been made which will reassure the community that we are focussed on ensuring that those involved in this incident are identified and arrested at the earliest opportunity.”

An incident room has been set up at St Asaph Police Station where a dedicated team of detectives have been assigned to the enquiry.

Patrols in the area have been increased and house to house enquiries will be carried out.

Detailed forensic examinations of the scene were carried out overnight and a number of items have been seized for forensic tests.
