Welsh Conservative Shadow Minister for Sport, Mohammad Asghar AM, has added his best wishes to Team Wales, as the Commonwealth Games begin in Glasgow:
“I know I join all of Wales in wishing our athletes the very best of luck for the Games.
“The medal target is well within reach and I know each and every one of Team Wales will do our country very proud.
“For Welsh elite competitors, the Commonwealth Games holds a very special place in the sporting calendar.
“Just making it this far has been a huge triumph and I know there will be many more successes to come over the next 11 days.”
