Concept drawings were approved by MCC for consultation within the town as part of a pre planning consultation process. Subject to responses the intention is to submit a full planning application in October 2010.
Bowmanriley Architects have been commissioned to design a new library as part of wider plans for the redevelopment of the Livestock Market site in Abergavenny. The consultation process took place in September.
A total of 137 responses were received.
GIles Howard, Cabinet Member for Culture & Environment, said:
“It’s still early days, but the results of the consultation are very encouraging. It shows that we’re on the right track and I look forward to final plans for a library that Abergavenny can be proud of.”
