Continental Market returns to the city centre

A Continental Market has returned to Swansea city centre.

A series of stalls selling food and goods from across the Channel will be available from Thursday March 25 to Sunday March 28 on Oxford Street.

French and Dutch cheese, biscuits from Brittany, croissants, crepes, hot sausage baguettes, paella, vegetables and a range of speciality ingredients will all be available.

Italian leather products, basketware from Africa and Cashmere sweaters will also be on sale.

Swansea Council and Team Fantastique are behind the event.

The stalls will be open from 9am to 5.30pm from Thursday to Saturday and from 10am to 4.30pm on Sunday.

Cllr Graham Thomas, Swansea Council’s Cabinet Member for Culture, Recreation and Tourism, said: “The Continental Markets are popular attractions in Swansea city centre that add vibrancy to Oxford Street.

“They’re part of a series of events and attractions that take place across the year in the pedestrianised area that are aimed at boosting footfall and catering for public demand.”
