Converging on St Asaph for Conference

Church members from Newtown in the south, Wrexham in the east, and Llanrwst in the west will join representatives from churches across the Diocese in St Asaph Cathedral this Sunday, June 13th, for the annual Diocesan Conference.

Bishop of St Asaph, the Rt Revd Dr Gregory Cameron, said, “I am always excited by the prospect of the Diocesan Conference because it’s the opportunity for the voice of the most important people in the Diocese, the parishioners themselves, to be heard.  This year we are focusing on our Diocesan priority, ‘enabling and encouraging the whole people of God’, and I hope that we will leave the conference with a clear sense of how we can face the future and make the gospel exciting for this corner of the world.”

The keynote speaker at the conference will be the Revd Canon Sue Jones, Canon Missioner in the Diocese of Bangor.  The Conference will also receive information about this year’s Diocesan appeal, to support the work of Sands, the Stillbirth & neonatal death charity, as they look to provide cold cots for Wrexham Maelor and Glan Clwyd hospitals.
