Copper wire stolen

Witnesses and information are being sought in connection with the theft of copper wire from the Dolgarrog area of the Conwy Valley.

The industrial copper wire was stolen sometime between Friday, September 17, and Tuesday morning, September 28. In all, 42 meters of wire was removed from a large wooden drum and is believed to have been stripped down in nearby woods. The wire is believed to be worth hundreds of pounds.

Officers in Llanrwst are investigating the incident and are appealing to anyone who may have information regarding the theft or who may have been offered copper wire for sale to contact PC 682 Roberts on 0845 6071001 (Welsh language line) 0845 6071002 (English language line) or 101.
