Gnoll Estate Country Park is to benefit from the planting of 300 broadleaf trees as part of Neath Port Talbot Council’s contribution to National Tree Park.
2009 is the 35th year that the Tree Council has been encouraging groups and individuals to plant trees for wildlife and biodiversity.
Neath Port Talbot Council’s Leader, Ali Thomas planted the first of the 300 trees at the Gnoll on Thursday. (3rd December)
He said, “I am pleased to be associated with this National event and it reinforces the Council’s commitment to plant two trees for every highway maintained tree that may have to be felled because it has been found to be dead, dying or dangerous.”
“We are committed to improving the environment for both residents and visitors to Neath Port Talbot.”
