Council tax help for pensioners

Denbighshire County Council has been successful in securing £148,672 as part of the Welsh Assembly Government grant for helping pensioners with council tax and people in receipt of a state pension and liable to pay council tax in the county as their main home will qualify for a part of this grant.

To apply please write to: Pensioner Grant Scheme, Revenues Department, Denbighshire County Council, Russell House, Rhyl, LL18 3DP with the following details: name and address, including postcode and state pension number.

The closing date for applications is 1 December, 2010. The credit that you will receive will be based on the number of applications received by the council.
