Council teams celebrate customer excellence honour

Denbighshire County Council’s Revenues and Benefits teams are celebrating after receiving a glowing customer excellence report.

Following an assessment, the team was awarded the Customer Services Excellence Award for the third year running and was found to be 100% compliant with standards set.

During the research, assessors looked at a wide range of factors, including the view of customers, engagement and consultation, customer satisfaction, the culture of the organisation, staff professionalism and attitude and access to information.

The Excellence Award is a UK national standard set by the Cabinet Office.

Ken Jones, Head of Revenues and Benefits, said: “We are delighted that our hard work and professionalism has been recognised for the third year running.  During our assessment we had to show evidence to prove that we meet the needs of customers, there is close working partnerships with partners, we deal effectively with problems and that we offer a quality service.

“Staff  work tremendously hard to improve services for the people of Denbighshire and it is a fitting honour and tribute that their exceptional work is rewarded in this way.”
