Criccieth lifeboat crew rescues two on jetski

Criccieth inshore lifeboat was launched on Wednesday afternoon, 20th April, to a jetski in difficulties three quarters of a mile off Harlech beach.

When the lifeboat and its volunteer crew reached the jetski it was discovered that it had broken down and there was a man from the Birmingham area clinging to it. He was not wearing a lifejacket and both he and the jetski were being blown out to sea. His colleague, who was wearing a buoyancy aid, was about 100 yards away and he too was being blown out to sea.

Both men were rescued and taken aboard the lifeboat and the waterlogged jetski was towed back to Black Rock Beach from where it had set out.
