Damaged pipes lead to community centre closures

Three of Swansea’s network of community centres are temporarily closed because of damaged pipework.

Remedial works are ongoing at the community centres of Penclawdd, North Penlan and Gors Avenue after the cold snap led to burst pipes in each.

Members of the public will be kept updated and informed about reopening dates for each.

A Swansea Council spokesperson said: “Damaged pipework in each of the three community centres means we’ve had to temporarily close them while remedial works take place.

“We’d like to thank the public for their patience during this time and we’re looking to reopen each centre as soon as the repair works are complete.”
