The Chairman of Denbighshire, Councillor Bill Cowie has congratulated X-Factor contestant Sami Lee Brookes on winning a place in the show’s live finals and is urging people to get behind the campaign to crown Sami X-Factor champion.
Former Rhyl High pupils Sami made the final 16 after judge Louis Walsh offered her a place at the last minute. Sami will now compete against the others in the live show staged every Saturday night.
Councillor Bill Cowie, said: “Sami has an absolutely amazing voice and a great personality to go with it. She impressed the judges at the initial audition and has wowed the audiences. She has become a national overnight singing sensation and I’m sure she will become more well-known as she progresses through the competition.
“Sami is a great ambassador for Rhyl and I would urge the people of Denbighshire, the rest of Wales and the UK to get behind Sami and vote for her. We’ll be keeping an interest in how Sami gets on and keeping our fingers crossed for her.”
