Denbighshire School Build Plan Moves to the Next Stage

denbighshireA planning application has been submitted to build a new high school in Rhyl.

The project,  funded in partnership by the Welsh Government and Denbighshire County Council, will provide a new building for Rhyl High School pupils and would also provide facilities for a cohort of Ysgol Tir Morfa pupils. The three-storey building would accommodate 1,245 pupils.

It’s expected that the application will be considered in March or April.

A number of events will be held in the next month to ensure that local residents and members of the community are aware of the plans and changes that will be happening on the school site to bring this exciting project to reality.

The ‘drop in’ events will provide an opportunity to view the up to date plans and ask members of the design team questions about the new development. A leaflet drop will ensure all residents in the immediate vicinity are aware of the events and the meetings will be advertised in the local press.
