Dental Nurses Bring Smiles to Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital for Wales

dental-picDental Nurses from the University Dental Hospital in Cardiff brought smiles to the faces of staff and patients at the Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital for Wales when they recently delivered bags of festive treats and gifts.

Dental Nurses collected money during the year to give gifts from one hospital to another, spreading Christmas joy to all.

With the money, staff purchased three iPads, along with gifts for the children and some tasty festive treats for staff.

Natalie Summerill, Deputy Dental Nurse Manager at University Dental Hospital said: “The Dental Nurses in the Dental Hospital got behind this idea and donated an amazing amount of money to help us give some iPads to the children’s hospital. We even managed to buy some treats for the staff with money we had left over so everyone was able to have something nice at Christmas.

Alison Oliver, Clinical Services Lead for the Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital for Wales said: “I’d like to thank everyone in the Dental Hospital for their generosity. These iPads will mean that more children are able to play games, keep in touch with family and take their minds off their illness for a short time.”

Beverly Withers, Interim Dental Nurse Manager at the University Dental Hospital said: “I would like to thank the Dental Nursing Team for their kindness, generosity and goodwill at this special time of year.”
