Dishing up treat for celebration of Swansea’s most famous son

Swansea’s Dylan Thomas Centre is gearing up to serve a special menu in the run up to and during this year’s Dylan Thomas Festival.

The Dylan Thomas Centre is the international focal point for studies and events based around Dylan Thomas. It will be busier than ever in the coming weeks due to celebrations of the work of Swansea’s most famous son.

To tie in with the Festival, a delicious meal deal just been launched to draw in people who may not have explored the centre before, and to offer a treat to festival visitors.

The brainchild of Dylan Thomas Centre head chef Gabrielle Caruso, it includes many of his speciality dishes, such as Welsh rarebit, homemade beef burgers, breaded plaice, cauliflower gratin and cockle and bacon gratin. The offer runs until Saturday, November 21 and is available from 12 noon until 2pm on Tuesday to Saturdays.

Swansea’s annual Dylan Thomas Festival takes place from October 26 to November 9 and participants this year include Cerys Matthews, Dannie Abse, Peter Finch, Owen Sheers and Fflur Dafydd.
