Drugs warrant in Caldicot lead to arrest

Gwent Police Officers from Caldicot carried out a warrant last Thursday 28th April to target illegal drug activity.

The warrant led to the seizure of 150 suspected ecstasy tablets. A local male was arrested on suspicion of possession of drugs with the intent to supply.

The Severnside Neighbourhood Policing Team carried out the warrant in the Caldicot area in response to concerns from members of the public. Illegal drug use is a PACT priority for wards areas in Caldicot.

Neighbourhood Sergeant Roland Giles explained, “We carried out the warrants following intelligence from the local community. We want our local residents to know we are dealing pro-actively with the information they are giving us and would like to thank them for their local knowledge.
