Exciting start to the college year

Up to 1000 first year students attended the Gower College Swansea Freshers’ Fayre at Tycoch on 8th September.

With a climbing wall and car crash demo not to mention street dance, freestyle football and freestyle BMX on offer, there was plenty of energetic activities for students to enjoy.

“The Freshers’ Fayre is a fantastic event that welcomes students to the college,” says Enrichment Manager Rob Baynham. “New students can to get to know each other, pick up useful information and have a go at the many activities on offer. I’m delighted that so many local organisations have again supported us by attending this year’s event.”

Other highlights on the day included non-contact boxing and a DJ set. Among the many contributors were the Welsh Blood Service, South Wales Police and the LC.
