Find a present at your local library

To celebrate World Book Day on 1 March, Gwynedd Council’s Library Service will be leaving a present in all of the county’s libraries. Will you be the lucky enough to find one?

The Gwynedd Literature Promotion scheme will be leaving a present of a book in all Gwynedd Council Libraries. If you find a package wrapped in brown paper at your local library – it is your present to keep!

Gwen Lasarus Gwynedd Literature Promoter, who works for Literature Wales and Gwynedd Council said:

“World Book day has developed to be a yearly event of significance, and is promoting the importance of reading and encouraging Gwynedd residents to make the most of the excellence facilities available for them in Gwynedd libraries.

“Reading is such an enjoyable activity, giving a book as a present is an excellent way of encouraging people to read. It’s nice to give someone something for free, and everyone likes receiving gifts.
