Flint lifeboat requested to assist North Wales Police

Liverpool Coastguard requested the launch of the RNLI Flint lifeboat to assist North Wales Police at Connahs Quay where a man was threatening to jump into the river.

The lifeboat arrived on scene at 10.15. The police successfully talked the man out of his threatened action and the lifeboat was stood down at 11.00, returning to the lifeboat station.

Alan Forrester, RNLI volunteer Lifeboat Operations Manager, said: “These jobs can be tricky; however on this occasion the man thankfully took no action.”
