RNLI Flint lifeboat station was paid a visit by 1st Bistre Cubs on Thursday 24 June. Volunteer crew members and lifeboat station officials were on hand to host the group.
During their visit, the group were shown round the lifeboat station and lifeboat. They were also taught about the charity, shown an RNLI video, and given the opportunity to try on crew kit.
Alan Forrester, volunteer RNLI Lifeboat Operations Manager for Flint lifeboat station, commented: ‘We welcome groups of all ages to the station, and the children always ask the most difficult questions! We are really busy this year on all fronts, with 17 call outs, 10 station visits, and fundraising events – this weekend we are collecting at Sainsbury’s in Flint, and on Sunday we have our dog show and lifeboat station open day.’
