Monkton pupils help out

Customers at the Anchorage Social Activity Centre in Pembroke Dock were heartbroken when it became the target for a spate of vandalism.

The centre in Commercial Row – which provides facilities for adults with learning disabilities – suffered several incidents of damage over a period of time including having plants in its flower bed ripped up.

When pupils read about the vandalism in the local newspapers and on Radio Pembrokeshire, they decided to help and this week they presented the Centre with the proceeds from their Christmas carol service. The money will pay towards the plants lost.
