Flintshire Community Safety: What do YOU think?

The Flintshire Community Safety Partnership (FCSP) is asking Flintshire residents for their thoughts and concerns (if any) about crime and safety issues in the county.

The FCSP has compiled a questionnaire for people to fill in, which can be found online or in Flintshire libraries, leisure centres and police stations.

The FCSP is a partnership between Flintshire County Council, North Wales Police, Probation Wales, North Wales Fire and Rescue and the Voluntary sector. Its aim is to work together to tackle community safety issues within the county, to ensure that Flintshire is, and feels, a safe place to live, work and visit. Recent statistics show that levels of crime in the county are steadily reducing but, despite this, fear of crime and disorder and concern over levels of anti-social behaviour are still priority issues for local people.

Every year, the Partnership produces a strategic assessment of crime and disorder within Flintshire. This assessment enables the Partnership to come up with a plan to reduce crime and the fear of crime in the county in an informed and targeted way. The questionnaire is an important part of the consultation process.

Scott Rowley, Flintshire Community Safety Coordinator says:

“The Flintshire Community Safety Partnership is keen to encourage Flintshire residents to fill in our questionnaire. It’s really important that we get feedback from as many residents as possible to identify the issues that are important to everyone living in the County. It means we can focus our efforts in the right places, and make the biggest difference to the lives of those living in Flintshire.”

The questionnaire can be found online at www.flintshire.gov.uk/safety

The last day to take part is June 30.

Full feedback will be given to those residents wishing to know the outcome of the consultation.
