Flintshire Revenues and Benefits Service goes online

Flintshire residents are now able to view their account details around the clock from the comfort of their own homes, thanks to a new internet based service – the first of its kind to be launched in Wales.

‘My Accounts’ allows customers to view their council tax and business rates accounts, as well as any claims for housing and council tax benefits.

Following a simple online registration process, customers are able to securely view their account details and communicate electronically with council staff. For example, council tax account holders will be able to check what discounts they are receiving and make payments online while customers receiving housing benefit can check when their next payment is due or advise of any changes in their circumstances.

Flintshire’s Head of Finance, Kerry Feather said, ‘This exciting development will provide our customers with additional choice of how and when they access information, giving them the opportunity to resolve basic queries 24 hours a day, 7 days a week – queries that may otherwise have resulted in them having to phone or visit council offices during standard office hours.’
