From Belarusians with Love

image001Music, magic and balloon-modelling take centre stage at the National Botanic Garden of Wales this August Bank Holiday weekend.

Add to that the world-famous Quack Pack and you have a line-up that offers something for everyone.

The Garden’s special bank holiday musical guests are the folk country celtic exponents Ragneda who are visiting from Belarus. The exotic-sounding  three-piece group play the ethnic music of their homeland on the folk instruments of their country. Maria, George and Vladimir will be in action at the Garden on the Saturday and Sunday (Aug 23 and 24).

Other musical visitors of note are: Fiddlebox – the local fiddle-and-squeezebox folk duo – who will be providing a joyful walkabout soundtrack to proceedings on Saturday and Sunday; and the Waterwheel Singers, from Aberdulais, who are singing in the Great Glasshouse on the Saturday (Aug 23).

Other attractions over the bank holiday weekend include: the inestimable Jugglestruck, of Folly Farm fame, who’s magical stylings and dextrous balloon modelling ensure fun for all the family; and the world-famous Quack Pack – one man and his dog and a herd. Jugglestruck and Quack Pack are at the Garden on Bank Holiday Monday (Aug 25).

All the Bank Holiday Weekend activities are free with normal admission into the Garden, which is £8.50 adults, £7 OAPs, £4.50 Child (5-16) and under 5s are free. A family ticket (two adults and up to four children) is just £21.
