A Neath Port Talbot radio station has won a share £100,000 in a Welsh Assembly Government fund.
XS radio received a grant of £10,000 from the Community Radio Fund in recognition of the contributions that the station has made to the local community.
Gwenda Thomas AM said: “XS radio is significantly involved in community life within Neath Port Talbot, whether it be promoting training and employment opportunities or even encouraging healthy lifestyles amongst listeners”.
XS radio is one of seven radio stations awarded grants, ranging from £10,000 to £16,500, with the aim of helping towards core costs of running a community radio station, such as administration, management and fundraising.
