Garage assault

Police are asking people to cast their minds back to last month when a man was assaulted as he drove out of a Shell garage.

The incident happened at around 10.15am on April 1, when a man drove out of the Black Cat garage in Llandudno Junction and collided with the car in front.

The man waited for the traffic to slow down before he pulled out behind a blue/ green car, possibly a Citroen Saxo, which was travelling around the round about.

As he pulled into the left hand lane, the driver of the car in front then slammed on his brakes, causing the car behind to come into slight contact with the blue / green car.

The driver waited in his car and was approached by two men from the car in front. He was then punched to the face, resulting in him suffering a broken jaw.

A passer by then pulled up alongside the victim and the two men ran back to their car and drove off at speed in an unknown direction.

The two men are described as being about 5’8” tall. Both had blonde hair, the passenger was of a muscular build and both men were wearing jeans.

Police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or anyone who may have driven past at the time.

Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Donna Walne at Llandudno Police Station on 101 or 0845 6071001 (Welsh line), 0845 6071002 (English line) or Crimestoppers Wales on 0800 555111. Alternatively text 66767 or e-mail [email protected]
