Rhondda Cynon Taf’s Cabinet Member for Culture, Recreation and Tourism, Cllr Robert Bevan, said: “Most people who use computers each day may take them for granted, but for many older people and other less confident users, getting online can be daunting.
“Silver Surfers’ Week is a great way to get over-50s involved in using digital technology. Having the ability to use computers can be life-enhancing and can be a great help with so many things, such as researching your family tree.
“I hope many people will come along to our libraries and enjoy learning how to use the internet in these free sessions.”
Membership of all Rhondda Cynon Taf’s libraries is free and everyone living or working within the county borough is welcome to join. For more information log on to www.rhondda-cynon-taf.gov.uk/libraries
