Get involved in the first Wales Sustainability Week

Newport City Council is urgibg all residents and staff to get involved in the first ever Wales Sustainability Week in May.

The first ever Wales Sustainability Week is taking place from Monday 17 until Sunday 23 May 2010.

The aim of the week is to take action and make Wales a more sustainable place to live, work and visit.

To celebrate Wales Sustainability Week, Newport City Council (NCC) will be running a series of events to get both staff and the public involved.

The public are invited to visit council staff who will be running a two day sustainability shop to ask questions about waste and recycling, energy efficiency, creating an inclusive society and lots, lots more.

The sustainability shop will be set up in one of the empty units upstairs in Newport Market (Town Centre) between 10am until 4pm.
