Gideons Bibles for Vale civic leaders

Local civic leaders were presented with copies of the Bible by Gideons International at a recent reception hosted by the Vale of Glamorgan Mayor, Cllr Colin Osborne.

The Vale branch of the Gideons is part of the worldwide association established in the British Isles in 1949 as a non-denominational extended missionary arm of the Christian church.

Today, almost 290,000 members work in 192 countries placing a total of over 80 million copies of the Bible in 93 different languages. Internationally, over 1.5 billion scriptures have been presented.
