Gogledd Cymru face tough task

This Sunday sees Gogledd Cymru Under 18s’ third home match of the season as they take on the Scarlets at Colwyn Bay Rugby Club (2pm)

The Scarlets, who kicked off with an impressive 41-0 win over Sunday’s opponents at Llandovery, will be hoping to make it three victories in four matches. Their only defeat this season came at the hands of the Blues, who currently top the table with three wins from three matches.

It has been a difficult and at times frustrating campaign for the young North Walians and their coaches as they have fielded a different 22 man squad for every match, and this lack of consistency has been reflected in their performances which have been similarly varied.

Their last match at home to the Dragons, was in many ways their most disappointing performance yet, and they will be looking to put that game behind them and put on a much improved performance against the Scarlets. They will be hoping this weekend’s clash will be a much closer affair than the opening game of the season.
