Golf club donates to RNLI

Christine Kershaw from Maesdu Golf Club visited Llandudno lifeboat station last week to present a donation of £400 to the RNLI. The generous donation was raised by the Club’s Ladies’ Section on the recent Lady Captain’s Charity Day.

Christine Kershaw decided the RNLI should receive the donation largely because her husband is a direct descendant of boatbuilder James Beeching, who in 1851 won a national competition to design a new self-righting lifeboat for the RNLI.

The donation was presented by Christine on behalf of Maesdu Golf Club to Alan Sharp, Volunteer Press Officer at Llandudno Lifeboat Station.
