Golf club help Barry Dock Lifeboat

The Cregiau Golf Club recently presented the Barry Dock Lifeboat with a huge cheque for £2,300.

Stuart McMillan, Chairman of the Barry Dock Lifeboat, and his wife Maragret, a member of the fundraising team in Barry, were delighted to be invited to attend a dinner at the Cregiau Golf Club where they were presented with the cheque for £2,300 by the Club Captain, Mr Russel Burge, whose chosen charity for the year was the Royal National Lifeboat Institution.

Stuart McMillan said that this superb sum was raised as a result of the club’s fundraising efforts in 2009 and will be used by the Barry Dock Lifeboat to support their ongoing service, Saving Lives at Sea.
