“This is sad news for employees of Warburton’s and those companies who supply this bakery”.
“It goes against the recent trend of investment into manufacturing industry in South Wales”.
“I acknowledge the companies explanation about their baking capacity with regard to declining beard sales throughout the UK; together with their commitment to assist employees with training and advice on gaining other employment”.
“I will be reviewing the Assembly Government involvement and their discussions with Warburton’s to see what lessons can be learnt from this closure. It is time that the Assembly Government demonstrated effective intervention in these situations”.
