Gwynedd Council welcomes pupils from Ysgol Dyffryn Nantlle

As part of their National Baccalaureate course, pupils from year 10 in Ysgol Dyffryn Nantlle visited Gwynedd Council’s chamber last week to learn about the council’s work. The pupils were welcomed by Gwynedd Council Leader, Councillor Dyfed Edwards, and presentations were given by Steffan Jones and Gwenllian Roberts from the Waste and Recycling Service about the importance of recycling our waste.

Councillor Dyfed Edwards said:

“As a Council we are always eager to listen to the views Gwynedd’s young people, and it was a pleasure to welcome the pupils to the Council.

“This was a great opportunity to discuss important issues with Gwynedd’s young people, and to hear their views and ideas.

“We are currently preparing for the first ever Gwynedd Children and Young People’s Week, ‘Wythnos Ni’ which will take place between 14 – 20 November, and we hope that children and young people from across the county will take part in the various events which will be held throughout Gwynedd.
