Missing person search continues in Wrexham

Searches are continuing for a woman who has been missing from her home in Wrexham since yesterday (Wednesday, 7th October).

58-year-old Valerie Jane Williams was last seen at approx 13:30 outside her home address on Ffordd Mailyn.

She is described as being white, approx 5ft 4 inches tall and of thin build. She has reddish grey hair which is usually tied back in a ponytail and hazel coloured eyes.

She was last seen wearing a purple hooded fleece top with a striped top underneath and brown trousers.

Search teams have included North Wales Police and the force helicopter, NEWSAR (North East Wales Search and Rescue) and SARDA (Search and Rescue Dogs Association).

Searches were carried out in and around the Erddig area yesterday evening and those searches are continuing today (Thursday, 8th October).

House to house enquiries are ongoing and anyone who may have seen Valerie Williams, or anybody who may have seen anybody of a similar description is asked to contact officers at Wrexham Police Station on 101, if you are calling from Wales, or 0845 607 1001 (Welsh line) or 0845 607 1002 (English line).
