Half Term Resurfacing Work

Pembrokeshire County Council plans to carry out road resurfacing work at two locations in the centre of the County from next Monday (October 26th).

In order to minimise disruption to traffic the timing of these works – at Merlins Hill in Haverfordwest and Main Street in Llangwm – has been chosen to coincide with the school half-term holidays.

At both locations the existing surface layers of the road will be removed and replaced by new asphalt materials.

On Merlins Hill, between Merlins Bridge Roundabout as far as Horsefair Roundabout, work will be carried out under traffic control and motorists are advised to take alternative routes wherever possible to minimise delays.

At Main Street Llangwm, in order to avoid congestion and ensure the safety of the workforce, it will be necessary to implement road closures.

Diversionary routes will be signposted when closures are in place.

The works at both sites will be carried out by Alun Griffiths (Contractors) Ltd and further details can be obtained from the Council’s Highway Asset Management Section on 01437 775990.
