The deadline for young people in Swansea to air their views on youth support services in their area has been extended until December 11.
A special web-based questionnaire is helping under 19-year-olds have their say on support and activities they have now and what they would like to see in the future.
And any youngster who takes part can have their name entered into a prize draw where there will be two prizes of £25 worth of music vouchers.
The questionnaire was launched during Local Democracy Week 2009 and youngsters have been submitting their views in the week since. Now to enable more to take part the questionnaire is being kept open until December 11.
The youngsters’ views will help inform councillors from Swansea Council’s Children and Young People Overview Board who are conducting a review of youth support services across Swansea.
They also want to make sure that the Council and other organisations in the city are working in a joined-up way to ensure the best possible outcomes for our young people.
The review is due to be completed in February 2009 when a report with the Board’s conclusions and recommendations will be forwarded to the Council’s Cabinet for agreement.
The questionnaire is available online at www.swansea.gov.uk/scrutiny or a paper copy is available by telephoning 01792 637256. A copy can be e-mailed to you if you request one by e-mailing [email protected]
Views are being sought from children and young people of any age up to 19 years old.
