The number of Denbighshire County Council tenants finding a property exchange has increased 335 per cent since 2007/8, with two thirds of those swapping properties involving tenants registered with the Homeswapper scheme
Homeswapper is a free web based mutual exchange service which automatically matches up tenants requirements and lets them know of potential moves though e-mail or text to a mobile phone. Homeswapper is the UKs biggest homeswap community and offers an excellent chance of finding a potential move.
The number of general vacancies in Council and Housing Association homes in Denbighshire is very limited and an exchange offers existing tenants an opportunity to find a move. Nearly 500 Council or Housing Association tenants across Denbighshire are registered on Homeswapper.
Want to find out more? Please refer to the website at www.homeswapper.co.uk which includes a Frequently Asked Questions page. Alternatively Denbighshire County Council tenants can contact Housing Services by e-mail: [email protected] or (01824) 712947/706064.
Tenants of Clwyd Alyn, Cymdeithas Tai Clwyd as well as Wales & West can also register free of charge with Homeswapper. If you require more information visit www.homeswapper.co.uk or contact your landlord directly.
Tenants must not exchange properties without written permission of all landlords (Council and/or Housing Association). If you swap without permission, you risk losing all rights to the current and previous property.
