St Davids RNLI inshore lifeboat rescues dog

On Friday 2 April at 12.30pm the St Davids RNLI inshore lifeboat, under the command of Helmsman Mike Rogers, launched on service to the aid of a dog that had fallen over cliff.

The dog had fallen 100ft down a cliff face and landed approximately 20ft from the bottom. Its position was just north of Abereiddi Beach and the dog’s owners were very concerned for it’s wellbeing.

Once on scene lifeboat crewmember William Chant scaled the cliff face to rescue the dog, who was then returned to its owners on the beach.

The lifeboat then returned to station and was rehoused at 1:55pm.
